If you’re thinking about replacement windows Seattle, WA, you must be a homeowner. One of the questions that you may be asking revolves around your home’s foyer. Is there anything you can do to make the space more inviting? The short is answer is yes! There’s actually quite a bit that you can do to improve the space.

The foyer is such a small area that it makes sense if you haven’t properly thought about it. However, you can feel its effect every day when you enter your home. If the foyer area is gloomy or dirty, entering your home won’t be as pleasing as it could be.

Keep reading for tips you can use.

1. Pay attention to your front door

Your front door is most likely the way that you enter your home. If you don’t, because you use a garage door or a back door, the front door is still likely where your guests enter. You see it every time you pull up to your home. There are a multiple ways to improve your front door, ranging from replacing it completely to changing the doorknob. These changes don’t need to happen all of the time.

2. Add a Welcome Mat

You can add a welcome mat on either side of your door. These serve a few purposed. They look great aesthetically and they also can make the area cleaner. The dirt and grime that naturally accumulates on the bottom of your shoe can be wiped off on these mats. This way, the dirt won’t be tracked into your home. There are so many different styles you’re sure to find one that you like.

3. Clean the Windows

If there are windows on either side of the front door, you can clean them to make them look better. These windows are often small, but they do add light to your space. They can be very dramatic looking. Because these windows are so small, they often don’t have blinds or curtains. So, there is only so much that you can do to make a change. Still, these windows need some attention.

4. Lighting

Great lighting will make your foyer look amazing. The lighting should be soft, allowing the eyes to adjust to it easily after being out in the sun and glare. You don’t want harsh lighting here. This light needs to illuminate the area, not the entire house. You can make this change on your own or work with an expert.

5. Hat Rack

A hat rack or coat stand can look great in your foyer if you have the room. It depends entirely on the amount of space that you have. These can be fairly inexpensive as well. You can find them online or at home goods and furniture stores.
